Audio for early detection of defects or diseases

Utilizing on-human and on-environment audio cues for early detection of health diseases or defects.

Concept

Utilizing on-human and on-environment audio cues for early detection of health diseases or defects.

Longer Description

If we have a future where microphones + on-device processing is robust, these sensors feel like the best passive way to monitor (in addition to cameras) with fewer privacy concerns related to specific IDing in public places.

Eventually you likely will add other sensors like thermal (which we saw with COVID detection startups) for a broader “in-home” versus “out of home” detection paradigm.

Other Thoughts

  • large tech companies have penetration with devices in home (google, amazon, meta, apple all do) but the barrier of trust may be difficult. Only Apple has the cachet of healthcare and a clear ambition to play in this space, something we see could develop into an ecosystem with Watch + Airpods + iPhone + homepod type device.
  • The company almost certainly has to play as a personal deteciton device either via in-home or for in-office first versus larger, non opt-in areas. GTM otherwise is very unclear.
  • There’s a possibility more acute care is the realistic initial GTM.
